Victoria “Torri” Huske stole the show at the 2020 Virginia Class 6 State Championships held at the Jim McKay Natatorium on George Mason University’s campus.

While representing Yorktown High School, the junior blasted a 50.69 to win the 100 fly for the third-consecutive year. Her time broke her own National Public High School record of 51.29 she set on February 16, 2019.

Her splits:

  • 50 fly – 23.58
  • 100 fly – 50.69 (27.11)

Claire Curzan still owns the overall National High School mark of 50.35 set at the North Carolina 4A State Championships earlier this month. Huske’s best time in the event is 50.49 which she swam at the NCAP Invitational in December 2019, a performance that ranks fourth all-time in 17-18 year-old history.

Huske swims year-round with Arlington Aquatic Club and is a member of the USA National Junior Team. At the World Junior Championships in Budapest this past summer, she earned gold in the 50m fly and 100m fly as well as silver in the 100m free. She also helped Team USA to three gold medals in the 4x100m free relay, 4x100m medley relay, and mixed 4x100m medley relay – the latter which shattered the world junior record by over a second.
