NISCA All-American Lists Announced; Maximus Williamson Tops Three Individual Events
The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) has announced its All-American honorees for the 2024-25 season. Performances had to be produced in high school competition, with NISCA recognizing the top-100 individuals and relays in the 12 events (including diving) contested in scholastic action.
Coaches were responsible for submitting All-American applications to NISCA on behalf of their athletes. On the boys’ side, Keller High School’s Maximus Williamson registered three No. 1 rankings, in the 50 freestyle (19.08), 100 freestyle (41.54) and 200 freestyle (1:30.46). He also helped Keller to a No. 1 ranking in the 200 freestyle relay (1:20.06).
On the girls’ side, Pine Creek High School’s Madi Mintenko was ranked first in the 200 freestyle (1:41.52) and 500 freestyle (4:32.58) while Teagan O’Dell of Santa Margarita High School was ranked No. 1 in the 200 individual medley (1:53.43). O’Dell led Santa Margarita to the top time in the 200 freestyle relay.
Carmel High’s girls earned a pair of No. 1 rankings in relay action, thanks to its 200 medley relay (1:39.10) and 400 freestyle relay (3:18.39).
NISCA recognized performances in the following events: 200 medley relay; 200 freestyle; 200 individual medley; 50 freestyle; Diving; 100 butterfly; 100 freestyle; 500 freestyle; 200 freestyle relay; 100 backstroke; 100 breaststroke; 400 freestyle relay.
