LSU Snags 2027 Verbal From Winter Juniors Finalist Natalie Daum
NEW COMMIT: Aurora, Colorado native Natalie Daum will head south for her college career, as she has verbally committed to Louisiana State University for Fall 2027. Daum is a Winter Juniors qualifier who excels in breaststroke.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am SO humbled and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Louisiana State University! First and foremost, I give all my thanks to God for His guidance and glory. Without His strength, I wouldn’t be able to do this beautiful sport. Thank you to my parents, family, friends, teammates, and all of my coaches who have helped me through this process. Lastly, thank you to the LSU Swim family who have gifted me with such an incredible opportunity!!GEAUX TIGERS”
Daum does her club swimming with University of Denver Hilltoppers. She most recently placed fifth in the 100 breast at Four Corners Speedo Sectionals last month after finaling in both the 100 and 200 breast at Juniors West in December. Last summer, she notched four best times at Sacramento Futures and earned a trio of top-3 finishes at Far Westerns.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:02.16
- 200 breast – 2:16.12
- 200 IM – 2:03.49
- 100 back – 56.21
Currently a junior at Cherokee Trail High School, Daum placed second in the 100 breast and fourth in the 200 IM at the 2026 Colorado 5A State Championships. She earned bronze in both events at the state meet during her sophomore season in 2025.
The Tigers placed fifth at the 2026 Southeastern Conference Championships before going on to take 21st at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
