Georgia Earns Verbal From Ohio State Champ Hayden Hollingsworth

NEW COMMIT: The University of Georgia has added a new verbal commitment for Fall 2025, this time from Junior National qualifier Hayden Hollingsworth out of Columbus, Ohio.

She will join Maeve Eckerman, Kennedi Dobson and Hailey Dopson in Athens as a member of the Bulldogs’ Class of 2029.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at the University of Georgia. I want to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for all the support over the years. I also would like to thank the coaches at Georgia for this amazing opportunity. GO DAWGS”

Hollingsworth, who trains year-round with Upper Arlington Swim Club, had a busy summer last year. She finaled in three events at Columbus Sectionals, highlighted by a seventh-place showing in the 50m fly. She then raced to eighth in the 100m fly and 17th in the 50m free at San Antonio Futures, capping off her long course season at Junior Nationals.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 22.69
  • 100 free – 50.53
  • 200 free – 1:53.11
  • 100 back – 54.90
  • 100 fly – 54.03

Currently wrapping up her junior year at Upper Arlington High School, Hollingsworth earned gold in the 50 free and silver in the 100 fly at the 2024 Ohio Division I State Championships. She finished first and third, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.
