Cardinals Add Ryan Henderson To Class Of 2025

NEW COMMIT: The University of Louisville has secured a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from U.S. Open qualifier Ryan Henderson of Kinston, North Carolina.

He will join Owen Stevens and Nate Thomas in Kentucky as a member of the Cardinals’ Class of 2029.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I chose Louisville because of the people. The coaches were outstanding and the people were amazing. Louisville fits me as a student and as a swimmer. As someone who has been swimming competitively for about a year now, Louisville gave me a chance to develop to an elite level. GO CARDS”

A sprint freestyler, Henderson trains year-round with East Carolina Aquatics and placed 23rd in the 50 free at Juniors East back in December. Last summer, he raced to third in the 100m free and fifth in the 50m free at North Carolina Long Course Seniors.

His best times include:

  • 50 free – 19.98
  • 100 free – 44.50
  • 200 free – 1:40.25
  • 100 fly – 51.04

Henderson is currently home schooled and is a rising senior.
