Cali Sprinter Jack Rodenkirch Verbally Commits to In-State USC for 2027

NEW COMMIT: The University of Southern California has secured an in-state verbal commitment from Jack Rodenkirch of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., for Fall 2027. Rodenkirch is a Junior National qualifier who excels in sprints.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I am proud to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at the University of Southern California! I want to thank my parents and family for their endless support and belief in me. I’d also like to give a big thanks to Coach Justin for helping me reach this level over the past year. I am incredibly grateful to all of my coaches, teammates, and friends throughout my life who have supported me in every step. Finally, a huge thank you to Coach Lea and the entire USC coaching staff for this amazing opportunity. FIGHT ON!”

Rodenkirch, who does his club swimming at Beach Cities Alpha, had a trio of top-20 finishes at Oceanside Speedo Sectionals in February after earning three second-swims at Walnut Speedo Sectionals in December. Last summer, he earned three best times at La Jolla Speedo Sectionals.

His best times include:

  • 50 free – 20.12
  • 100 free – 44.33

A rising senior at Peninsula High School in Palos Verdes, Rodenkirch placed fifth in the 50 free and seventh in the 100 free at the 2026 CIF State Championships. Two weeks prior, he won both of those events at the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Championships.

The Trojans finished seventh at the 2026 Big Ten Championships.
