Auburn Adds Breaststroker Abby Moore to Class of 2032
NEW COMMIT: Auburn University has picked up another verbal commitment for the 2028-29 season and beyond from Abby Moore of Aurora, Ill. Moore is a breaststroker and Junior National qualifier.
She will join Madi King as a member of the Tigers’ Class of 2032.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am incredibly grateful and honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Auburn University! 🧡💙 First, I want to thank God for guiding me throughout this journey, and to my parents and sister for their endless love, support, and sacrifices. Thank you to my club coaches, Todd and Glenn, for believing in me, pushing me, and helping me grow both in and out of the pool. I’m also so grateful to Coach Ryan, Coach Vlad, and the entire Auburn coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this amazing opportunity. I’m beyond blessed and so excited for this next chapter! War Eagle!”
Moore trains year-round with Academy Bullets Swim Club. She most recently competed at NCSA Summer Championships where she placed seventh in the 200m breast, 14th in the 50m breast and 17th in the 100m breast.
Last winter, she raced to sixth in the 200 breast at Juniors West before going on to earn bronze in the 50 breast at Illinois Short Course Seniors. She then finaled in five events at NCSA Spring Championships, highlighted by a 17th-place showing in the 100 breast.
Her best times include:
- 50 breast – 29.27
- 100 breast – 1:02.77
- 200 breast – 2:14.56
- 200 IM – 2:03.79
- 400 IM – 4:27.11
Currently a junior at Rosary High School, Moore took second in the 100 breast and ninth in the 200 IM at the 2025 Illinois State Championships, also helping her 4×50 free relay team win.
Auburn placed seventh at the 2026 Southeastern Conference Championships.
