Make it 39 consecutive Indiana state championships for the Carmel High School girls, as the Greyhounds totaled 448 points on Saturday to more than double 212.5 points of Carroll High (Fort Wayne). Shackell punctuated one of the greatest careers in Indiana high school history in unselfish style, as she opted to race on all three relays to go with the 100 fly. Shackell won her latest 100 fly crown in 50.67, which was nearly three seconds quicker than the 53.61 of Emily Wolf (Fishers). Shackell, with a 21.40 split, also joined Gorey (23.47), Alexandria Clark (23.37) and Sweeney (23.30) on the winning 200 freestyle relay, which touched in 1:31.54.
