Arkansas Gets 2028 Verbal From Georgia 6A State Champion Addie Speigner

NEW COMMIT: The University of Arkansas has kickstarted its recruiting for Fall 2028, earning a verbal commitment from Addie Speigner of Cumming, Ga. Speigner is a Futures qualifier who specializes in butterfly.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so incredibly blessed and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Arkansas! First, I want to thank God for guiding me to this decision and being with me every step of the way. A big thank you to my family for supporting me through all of this, and for always cheering me on. I would also like to thank Coach Jordan for believing in me and for pushing me to be a better version of myself in and out of the water. Thank you to my teammates for helping me get through all of the tough practices, and for the constant encouragement. Lastly, thank you to the entire Arkansas coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to be a razorback! WPS!!!”

Speigner, who does her club swimming with SwimAtlanta, finished 25th in both the 100m fly and 200m fly this past summer at Austin Futures Championships. She earned gold in the 200 fly and bronze in the 100 fly at Georgia Senior Championships last December.

Her best times include:

  • 50 fly – 25.50
  • 100 fly – 54.80
  • 200 fly – 2:01.70

Currently a junior at West Forsyth High School, Speigner won the 100 fly and placed sixth in the 50 free at the 2026 Georgia 6A State Championships. She also won the 100 fly as a freshman at the state meet in 2025.

Arkansas finished 11th at the 2026 Southeastern Conference Championships.
