Virginia Gators Down Two SwimMAC 15-16 Girls Relay NAGs

A team of Virginia Gators took down two National Age Group relay records this afternoon at the Dolfin ISCA Junior National Cup in Clearwater, Florida. Both 15-16 girls marks were previously held by SwimMAC.

Emma MuzzyCaroline KulpOlivia Bray, and Whittney Hamilton posted a 15-16 200 medley relay National Mark with a time of 1:39.21.

Splits:

  • Muzzy 24.97
  • Kulp 28.86
  • Bray 23.15
  • Hamilton 22.23

SwimMAC’s Kathleen Baker teamed up with Caitlin CasazzaAlyssa Marsh, and Nora McCullagh for a 1:39.61 in 2013.

SwimMAC 2013 Splits:

  • Baker 24.74
  • Casazza 28.94
  • Marsh 23.76
  • McCullagh 22.17

All four of those swimmers have continued their successful swimming careers as all four represented their college programs at Division I NCAAs this past week.

The same Virginia Gators quartet also broke the 200 freestyle relay mark with their 1:30.99.

  • Bray 23.19
  • Kulp 22.99
  • Muzzy 22.53
  • Hamilton 22.28

The Gators lobbed almost a second off SwimMAC’s old mark, a 1:31.84 in 2012. That team was Baker, Casazza, Elsa Welshofer, and McCullagh.
