USMS Summer Championships: 35 Records Fall in Mission Viejo
The US Masters Swimming Summer National Championships concluded from Mission Viejo California on Sunday.
Ther were 35 USMS records set and 19 World Aquatics age group world records set at the meet.
Gabrielle Rose led a group of 11 Olympians who competed in the meet, a group that also included Jeff Farrell (two golds representing the U.S. in 1960) and Markus Rogan (two silvers representing Austria in 2000-04-08-12).
Rose Bowl Masters’s Maurine Kornfeld, 102, was the oldest swimmer at the meet, but there were three other swimmers who are at least 90 and 35 other swimmers who are at least 80.
