USA Swimming Announces National Diversity Select Camp Invitees
USA Swimming today announced the names of 52 up-and-coming athletes selected for its National Diversity Select Camp, scheduled for April 30–May 3 at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The three-day camp experience provides swimmers and coaches from diverse backgrounds across the country with the opportunity to participate in elite training sessions and connect with leaders across the sport. A complete roster of camp participants is available here.
“The National Diversity Select Camp continues to be an important part of our commitment to growing the sport and creating opportunities for swimmers to reach their potential,” USA Swimming Managing Director of Sport Development Joel Shinofield said. “This camp not only provides athletes and their coaches with access to world-class coaching, coach education, and resources, but also helps foster connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging within our sport.”
Athletes representing all four USA Swimming zones will attend the 2026 camp. The Western Zone leads all regions with 20 participants, while the remaining athletes represent the Central, Southern and Eastern Zones.
At the Local Swimming Committee (LSC) level, 24 LSCs are represented, with Pacific Swimming leading all LSCs with 10 selected athletes.
Each athlete selected for the camp will receive lodging, meals, airfare, and ground transportation. To qualify, athletes must have achieved at least one National Diversity Select Camp time standard within the qualifying period. To learn more about the selection criteria, please click here.
In addition to a packed camp for athletes, USA Swimming is proud to continue offering a home coach track for coaches. Eligible coaches can accompany their athlete(s) to the camp and take advantage of a separate track featuring educational opportunities, connections with USA Swimming staff, and networking with coaches from across the country.
