USA Swimming Announces 2025-2026 U.S. National Team Roster

USA Swimming, the National Governing Body of the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced its 2025-2026 U.S. National Team presented by Toyota. The roster is comprised of 121 swimmers from across the nation, based on results from the 2024-2025 swim season, ranging from September 1, 2024-August 31, 2025.
“We’re excited for this year’s roster,” USA Swimming National Team Managing Director Greg Meehan said. “We witnessed some strong performances across national and international events this past summer, reinforcing that our team is set up well for the Pan Pacific Championships and future competitions as we look towards LA28.”
Katie Ledecky (Bethesda, Maryland/Gator Swim Club) leads the way with her 14th National Team selection – the highest total by an active National Team athlete. On the men’s roster, Caeleb Dressel (Green Cove Springs, Fla./Gator Swim Club) and Michael Andrew (Encinitas, Calif./Sun Devil Swimming) lead all male swimmers with their 10th career National Team selections.
Fifty athletes make their USA Swimming National Team debut, headlined by 2025 World Aquatics Championships gold medalist Patrick Sammon (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Sun Devil Swimming) and 2025 World University Games standout Leah Shackley (Bedford, Pa./Wolfpack Elite). Shaine Casas (McAllen, Texas/Longhorn Aquatics) qualifies for this year’s National Team in six events, marking the highest count among male swimmers, while Regan Smith (Lakeville, Minn./Longhorn Aquatics) leads the women’s field with seven events.
The full roster features 54 women and 67 men, spanning from 33 states and 25 universities. California is the most-represented home state with 14 athletes, and the University of Virginia is the most-represented university with 14 athletes.
