Swimming World to Participate in Live Stream of Virginia Independent Swim/Dive Champs

MANASSAS, Virginia, February 12. THE top swimmers attending private high schools in Virginia are converging on Manassas this weekend for the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association’s swimming and diving championships, and SwimmingWorld.TV will be a part of the live stream of the two-day event!

Morning Swim Show host Jeff Commings will the action from the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center on the campus of George Mason University Friday and Saturday. For the finals sessions, Commings will be joined by former Virginia TV news personality Chip Tarkenton on the live webcast. Prepare to witness a horde of meet records as teams fight for the coveted boys and girls team titles!

The live stream, which can be found on VISAA.tv, will be produced by Rising Up Sports in conjunction with the VISAA, featuring multiple camera angles and integration with the Colorado Timing Systems scoreboard. The action begins at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time Friday with prelims, followed by finals at 6 p.m. The second half of the event program will take place at the same times on Saturday. If you miss any of the action on the live stream, you can watch races on-demand shortly after the meet’s conclusion on our event landing page. You’ll also be able to see interviews with coaches and swimmers there.

Fork Union Military Academy is looking to repeat as boys’ team champion, while The Collegiate School looks to extend their girls’ team title streak to three. Mary Katherine Kish of The Collegiate School will wrap up her high school career looking to repeat as 200 and 500 freestyle champion, while Ali Khalafalla from Fork Union will look to break meet records in the sprint freestyles.
