Survey: What Future Competition Categories Should Be Available in U.S. Masters Swimming?

The U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision in B.P.J. clarified that Title IX does not require schools to permit transgender girls and women to compete in the girls’ and women’s category. While U.S. Masters Swimming is not governed by Title IX, the decision is likely to influence future policies across many sports organizations.
This survey asks what direction you believe U.S. Masters Swimming should take in light of the changing legal landscape.
Transgender swimmers are as dedicated to this sport as any other athletes. They deserve the opportunity to continue to compete and receive recognition for their efforts. The third category option provides transgender swimmers a solution for meeting their needs as well as respecting the concerns of cisgender swimmers.
