A Lineup of Coaches Who Have Developed Champions
The 2027 Pacific Clinic features an impressive group of speakers whose work has helped shape successful athletes and programs across the country.
Matt Kredich, Director of Swimming and Diving at the University of Tennessee, has coached numerous Olympians and elite-level swimmers. Russell Mark, ASCA’s Performance and Education Advisor, is internationally recognized for his work in stroke technique and swimming performance. Having worked with dozens of U.S. Olympians, Mark brings an unmatched depth of technical knowledge to coaches seeking to better understand the mechanics of fast swimming. He currently works with the University of Virginia women’s professional training group, continuing to apply technical analysis at the highest levels of the sport.
Practical Education for Every Stage of a Coaching Career
The Pacific Swim Coaches Clinic is designed to deliver more than inspiration. Its goal is to help coaches return to the pool with ideas, knowledge, and tools they can put to work immediately.
In addition to the main clinic program, coaches can register for two specialized learning opportunities:
- The Stroke School with Russell Mark: An in-depth opportunity to study stroke mechanics and develop a more precise, effective approach to teaching swimming technique. The course is designed to provide coaches with updated technical knowledge and practical tools they can use with their athletes. The course can be applied to ASCA’s Level 2 Certification qualifications.
- The Planning, Writing, and Managing Age Group & Novice Workouts: A focused session for coaches who want to strengthen their workout design, improve daily practice planning, and develop more effective training experiences for developing swimmers.
These additional sessions complement the main clinic by offering targeted education for coaches who want to deepen specific areas of their coaching practice.
