Star-Studded Lineup Set for Opening USA Swimming Pro Series Stop of the Year (See Psych Sheets)

The pre-scratch psych sheets for next week’s USA Swimming Pro Series stop in Austin have been released, and the field is absolutely stacked. In addition to many of the premier names in American swimming dotting the entries, the top athletes from France will be in action, headlined by Leon Marchand and Maxime Grousset.

While Marchand is part of the pro group that trains at the University of Texas, making his participation a no-brainer, the fact that other French National Team members will race enhances the opening leg of the tour. Grousset and Yohann Ndoye Brouard are multi-time World Championships who will deepen the freestyle/butterfly and backstroke fields, respectively.

Canadian Summer McIntosh and American distance legend Katie Ledecky are also slated to compete at the Jamail Swim Center, the meet providing an early 2026 racing opportunity. McIntosh is coming off a 2025 in which she set world records in three separate events while Ledecky doubled at the World Champs and earlier in the year broke her own world mark in the 800 freestyle.

This Pro Series stop will be the first in a new-look setup that features semifinals in some of the events. In an attempt to replicate what athletes see in major international competitions, selected events during the tour will include semifinal rounds. The Austin stop will utilize that approach for the 50-meter stroke events, along with the 200 individual medley.

Other international stars scheduled to compete include Beryl Gastaldello, Marie Wattel and Anna Elendt.

Other U.S stars include Simone Manuel, Jack Alexy, Anna Peplowski, Caeleb Dressel, Shaine Casas, Carson Foster, Kieran Smith, Regan Smith, Bobby Finke, Claire Weinstein, Luke Hobson, Emma Weyant, Gabriel Jett, Chris Guiliano, Hunter Armstrong and Ashley Twichell.
