After the conclusion of the SEC championships in Knoxville, Tenn., Saturday night, Swimming World spoke with several of the top performers from the meet before they headed home. That list included Georgia’s Olivia Smoliga, Missouri’s Michael Chadwick, Kentucky coach Lars Jorgensen and his star freshman Asia Seidt and Alabama’s Anton McKee.

Smoliga explained how it felt competing in her final SEC meet, discussed what she think Georgia can improve upon heading into NCAAs and rated the Bulldogs’ 1-2-3 finish in the 100 free among her top Georgia memories.

Chadwick discussed what it was like to race Caeleb Dressel all week, explained how he felt about his times considering how much rest he got for the meet and previewed what the Missouri Tigers could accomplish at the NCAA championships.

Jorgensen explained what made possible his team’s third-place finish in the women’s competition, how his group of talented backstrokers works together and how the Kentucky program has changed since his arrival.

Seidt re-lived the moment of capturing her first ACC title Saturday night in the 200 back and discussed the moment she shared with teammates Danielle GalyerAli Galyer and Bridgette Alexander after the race.

Finally, McKee explained how it felt to reclaim the 200 breast SEC title as a senior after first winning the event as a freshman.
