SEC Championships Format Moves to Seven Days
The Southeastern Conference has (SEC) established a scheduling format for the 2027 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships, which will take place Feb. 14-20, 2027, at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas.
All sessions of the 2027 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships will air on SEC Network+.
The meet will move from five days to seven days as diving will have the water first.
Here is the breakdown of the SEC finals each day:
Day 1 (Sunday, Feb. 14): men’s 1-meter diving, women’s 3-meter diving
Day 2: women’s 1-meter diving, men’s 3-meter diving
Day 3: 200 medley relay, 800 free relay, women’s platform diving
Day 4: 100 backstroke 200 butterfly, 100 breaststroke, men’s platform diving
Day 5: 100 butterfly, 400 IM, 200 free, 400 medley relay
Day 6: 200 breaststroke 50 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 200 free relay
Day 7: 200 IM, 100 free, 200 back, 400 free relay.
SEC Prelims for the diving events Sunday and Monday will begin at noon local time (CST). The 1650 free heats will begin at 11:30 on Day 3 and the rest of the days will begin at 9:30 a.m. The finals will be 5 p.m. for the first three nights, then 5:30 p.m. for the rest of the week.
The 2026 SEC Championship meet had a different format and was five days.
Day 1: 1650 freestyle, 1-meter diving and the 800 free relay.
Day 2: 100 backstroke, 200 butterfly, 100 breaststroke, men’s 3-meter diving.
Day 3: 400 IM, 200 free, 100 butterfly, women’s 3-meter diving, 400 medley relay.
Day 4: 200 breaststroke, 50 freestyle, 500 freestyle, men’s platform diving, 200 free relay.
Day 5: 200 IM, 100 free, 200 backstroke, women’s platform diving, 400 free relay.
