Preview: SwimmerJoe Show with Florida Head Coach Anthony Nesty
University of Florida Head Men’s Swimming & Diving Coach Anthony Nesty will join hosts Joe Auer and Chris Emig on the SwimmerJoe Show on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 6:00 pm EST. The live event can be streamed on both the Swimming World and International Swimming Hall of Fame Facebook pages. Replays will also be available on Spotify and Amazon’s Alexa.
In the pool, Nesty was a two-time Olympian and won the first gold medal for his country of Suriname in the 1988 Olympics. Prior to this year, he helped Florida athletes to 1,148 All-America honors, 43 individual national championships, eight SEC Championship teams, 177 SEC titles, 10 top-10 team finishes and two top-three team finishes at NCAAs, and 42 Olympians who have won a total of 23 medals, including 11 gold. Nesty has also served as the head coach of the Suriname Olympic team three times (2008, 2012, 2016).
