Preview: SwimmerJoe Show with Coach Gregg Troy
Former University of Florida Head Swimming & Diving Coach Gregg Troy will join hosts Joe Auer and Chris Emig on the SwimmerJoe Show on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 6:00 pm EST. The live event can be streamed on both the Swimming World and International Swimming Hall of Fame Facebook pages. Replays will also be available on Spotify and Amazon’s Alexa.
Troy coached the Gators from 1998 through 2018, after a successful run at The Bolles School and throughout international competition. He has been an Olympic Head Coach twice – for Thailand in 1992 and the United States Men in 2012.
Troy has helped produce 47 Olympians at Florida, as well as 43 Individual and Relay NCAA Champions. His teams have won eight SEC Team Titles, earning him SEC Men’s Coach of the Year honors ten times between 2000 and 2018.
In April of 2018, Troy announced his retirement from the University. He is still coaching however, as the high performance coach for Gator Swim Club. Swimming World recently sat down with Coach Troy to discuss his historic career on the pool deck.
The next episode of the SwimmerJoe Show will stream on Sunday, February 10 at 6:00pm EST and will feature Olympic Champion Ryan Murphy.
