Passages: Mary Elliot, Ripon College Diver, 22
Mary Elliott, a diver at Division III Ripon College in Wisconsin, died in a motor vehicle accident on May 9. Elliott was 22 years old.
Elliot was a native of Bayside, Wisc., who attended Whitefish Bay Dominican High School. She was majoring in criminal justice and aspired to be a police officer.
Ripon College’s swimming and diving account posted a memorial on social media. They held a memorial at the pool in her honor.

Elliot was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her boyfriend, Jesse Morales Hernandez, 22. Both died in Kewaunee County Saturday in a two-vehicle collision.
The swimming and diving account called Elliot a, “truly special student athlete.”
“Mary was one of the most special, kind hearted, energetic, and caring individuals we have ever met,” the account wrote. “She was truly such a bright light around campus and she was the hardest worker we had the pleasure of training with. She was an amazing leader, teammate, and competitor to not only her teammates but everyone who had the joy of meeting Mary.”
