Panna Ugrai made it seven golds in as many events after two days of the Hungarian Short Course Championships in Kaposvár.

The 22-year-old took the 100 free (52.90) and 50 back (27.63) on the opening night on top of the 4×100 free and medley BVSC-Zugló quartets to victory.

The four-time medallist in the European long-course pool returned for the second evening where she won the 50 free (24.77) and 100 back (58.00) to clinch the 50-100 doubles in both events. She also anchored the BVSC-Zugló medley relay to victory.

The meet at the Csik Ferenc Swimming Pool isn’t a selection opportunity for next month’s World Short Course Championships in Beijing where Kristof Milak and Hubert Kos have been offered the chance to compete.

Gábor Zombori made two trips to the top of the podium over the opening two days in the 200IM (1:54.54) and 400 free in 3:42.90, both new PBs.

Ajna Kesely won the 1500 free before adding a 4:04.94 victory in the 400 free on day two.

Szebasztián Szabó won the 50 free in 21.57 after Nándor Németh claimed the 100 crown in 46.57. Szabó swam the fly leg as the BVSC-Zugló quartet won the men’s medley relay.

Thirty-year-old Dávid Horváth clinched the 100m breaststroke in 59.11 13 years after his first senior title, although he has been working as a full-time coach for years.

Olivér Nell and Ádám Jászó won the 50 (24.00) and 100 back (51.63) while Richárd Márton held off the young challengers to his 200 fly crown in 1:52.76.
