NCAA Men’s Championships: Day 2 Finals Showdowns Loom (Heat Sheets and Up-Downs)
The individual events are heating up at the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington.
The Day 2 finals will be pivotal with several teams hoping to stay in title contention.
The events will be the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, 50 freestyle, 1-meter diving and the 200 free relay.
Check out the complete heat sheets here.
The 500 free will be a race against the American record-holder. Texas sophomore Rex Maurer is the top seed with a 4:07.55, three seconds from his American record. His teammate Luke Hobson will be in the mix as well as Cal’s Lucas Henveaux.
The 200 IM should be a showdown between Texas junior Hubert Kos and Cal fifth-year Destin Lasco, the American record-holder. Of course plenty of swimmers will look to crash the party.
The 50 free, looks to be another showdown between Tennessee’s Jordan Crooks and Florida’s Josh Liendo, though in the 50, anything can happen, especially with six Olympians in the final.
