Michael Andrew, Wife Alexandra, Celebrate Hawaii Wedding
Along the shores of the ocean, Michael Andrew had the biggest day of his life.
No, it wasn’t an open water swim.
Andrew got married on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii last week, wedding fiancée Alexandra.
“Thank you God for such a beautiful life,” she wrote on social media, along with a group of photos from the day.
Michael wrote: “Thank you Lord for trusting me with your blessing.”
The photos showed a small beach wedding with family on a beautiful Hawaii day.
Michael Andrew is coming off of a strong performance at the USA Swimming TYR Pro Swim Series stop in Indianapolis in June.
The 27-year-old Olympic medalist swam some of his fastest times in more than a year, a good sign leading up to the Pan Pacific Championships in August.
Micheal Andrew has qualified for Pan Pacs in the 50 butterfly, but will be allowed to swim other events due to the meet rules.
After spending last season training with the Arizona State pro group, Andrew moved back to Hawaii to train with his father, Peter Andrew. Since the move back, Andrew has seen a slow improvement back into the range of times that people have come to expect from him.
And his big moments in Hawaii continue as the couple celebrates their wedding.
