Marist Hires Billy Gordon as Head Coach
Marist last week announced the hiring of Billy Gordon as the head coach of the swimming and diving program.
Gordon spent four seasons at Bryant University, two as an assistant and two as the associate head coach/coordinator of recruiting and pool operations. The Bulldogs had two podium finishes at the America East Championships in 2025, the women placing second and the men third. In 2026, the women won their first America East title, the Bryant staff named America East Women’s Coaching Staff of the Year.
Gordon replaces Anthony Randall, who was hired away from Poughkeepsie in June to lead the program at Providence College. Randall had led the Red Foxes men’s and women’s programs for five seasons. Gordon will take over as the head coach of both the men’s and women’s programs at Marist.
Gordon spent four years as an assistant coach at La Salle, leading the sprint and mid-distance groups. He swam at East Carolina, making the finals of the Conference USA Championships each of his four years as a Pirate.
