Iowa Women’s Swimming Tops Iowa State in CY-HAWK Series

The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team defeated Iowa State 194-105 in the CY-HAWK series on Saturday, Jan. 31.

The Hawkeyes started strong with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. Elizabeth Beam, Olivia Swalley, Rachel Dildine and Payton Flowers got to the wall in 1:41.13.

Beam won the 100 backstroke in 55.82 and 200 back in 1:59.82. Swalley won the 200 fly in 2:01.28 and 200 IM in 2:02.09. Flowers won the 50 free in 22.89 and 100 free in 50.29. Dildine won the 100 fly in 54.76.

Iowa’s Olivia Frantum won the 100 free in 10:05.63. Jenna Kerr won the 200 free in 1:49.83 and the 500 free in 4:54.57.

Lainey Woodward won 3-meter diving with 313.73 points and 1-meter with a 317.63 score.

Kerr, Flowers, Dildine and Audrey Olen won the 400 free relay in 3:22.83.

Iowa State’s Grace Swoboda won the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.45. Anja Peck won the 200 breaststroke in 2:13.05.
