Harvard Gets Verbal From Nitro Swimming’s Aliana Marakovic

NEW COMMIT: Harvard University has received a new verbal commitment* for its growing Class of 2029 from Aliana Marakovic of Austin, Texas.

She will join Hazel Mouhidin in Cambridge at the start of the 2025-26 season.

A versatile swimmer, Marakovic does her club swimming with Nitro Swimming and won the B-final of both the 100 breast and 200 breast at Lewisville Sectionals back in March.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:50.27
  • 500 free – 4:54.44
  • 100 breast – 1:03.12
  • 200 breast – 2:13.69
  • 200 IM – 2:02.68

Marakovic is a rising senior at Austin Westlake High School.

Her best time in the 200 breast would’ve been the second fastest on Harvard’s roster last season.
