Diogo Ribeiro headlines a nine-strong Portugal squad for the European Championships in Paris.

Ribeiro won 50 fly bronze at the 2022 edition in Rome behind Thomas Ceccon and Maxime Grousset before making history as the first Portuguese swimmer to win a world medal with 50 fly silver at Fukuoka 2023. He then won double gold in the 50/100 fly a year later at the World Championships in Doha.

The 21-year-old will be joined by Camila Rebelo who won the 200 back title at the last Europeans in Belgrade in 2024 weeks before the Paris Olympics which led to a diluted field.

Portugal won two medals in the Serbian capital with Francisca Martins taking 400 free bronze and she too will make the trip to the French capital.
