Dario Verani and Klaudia Tarasiewicz are confirmed as the overall winners of the European Aquatics 2026 Open Water Swimming Cup with full prize money awarded despite only two of the scheduled four legs completed because of bad weather.

The second and third legs were fulfilled in Tenero and Razanac but the opening and closing stops in Protaras and Barcelona were disrupted by poor conditions with prize money going to the three highest-ranked women and men based on their performances at the completed legs.

Italian Verani won the two completed legs in Tenero and Razanac to secure the 2,500 euros prize with 1600pts. Poland’s Bartosz Kapala finishes second on 1,250 points, worth €1,500, with Estonia’s Jaan Pasko completing the podium ( €1,000).

Tarasiewicz claimed the women’s title and €2,500 first prize on 1,500pts following 700pts in Tenero and 800pts for victory in Razanac.

Finland’s Louna Kasvio takes second place and €1,500 with 1,350pts. She is the daughter of Antti Kasvio, 200 free bronze medallist at the 1992 Olympics and world champion in Rome two years later.

Germany’s Fabienne Wenske finishes third to earn 1,000 euros.
