Danas Rapsys Enjoys No Morning Swims at FINA Champions Series (VIDEO INTERVIEW)

Lithuania’s Danas Rapsys talked to the media on Friday night at the FINA Champions Series in Indianapolis as he won the 200 free (1:45.56), was second in the 400 free (3:46.23), and was fourth in the 200 back (2:14.02). Rapsys talked about what he enjoyed about the inaugural meet and how he felt in the water on Friday.
Rapsys was just off his best time of 1:45.12 from 2018 in the 200 free. He will certainly be one of the favorites moving forward to the 2019 World Championships later this year. Rapsys is 24 and was the World Short Course Champion in the 400 free in December. He was leading the 400 free field for about 399 meters before Gabriele Detti ran him down at the very last stroke. He was off his 3:43 best time from Budapest but he sits second in the world rankings for 2019 with that swim.
