Asia Seidt stopped by the media tent after her victory in the women’s 200 back to discuss her busy summer, which has included a trip to Italy for the World University Games (WUGs) and the 2019 Phillips 66 U.S. National Championships.
Because WUGs took place July 4-10, Seidt tapered for that meet and then had to taper again for the National Championships. Something she’s never really had to do before, she mentioned.
But it was a great summer for Seidt. Lisa Bratton and Seidt finished first and second respectively in the 200 back at WUGs and now Seidt has followed that up with a National title.
For Seidt, as with many swimmers, the big focus on the horizon is Olympic Trials and everything leads up to that.
