Social Media Contest: #myswimcoachrocks

Ft. Lauderdale (FL) — The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) is encouraging everyone in the swimming community—swimmers, parents, volunteers and businesses—to make a point to recognize the outstanding coaches in their lives during Swimming Coach Appreciation Week, Oct. 2-8, 2022.

To help coaches feel the love, ASCA is encouraging social media posts using #myswimcoachrocks, and is working with sponsors to present a plethora of exciting prizes for the coaches of the swim teams that create the best posts to recognize their coaches.

ASCA’s partners are offering the following prizes for the social media contest to celebrate its coaches!

* Two X1-Pros from GMX7

* One pair of Smart Goggles from FINIS

* 30 Minute Zoom Session with Leadership Coach Jeff Raker

* Drag Jersey from Team Swift Gear

* 30% off a stroke bundle from Swim Like A. Fish

SPECIAL OFFER FROM ASCA: To show appreciation for coaches, ASCA is offering the ALL-NEW Level 1-5 online certification courses for 50% off during Swimming Coach Appreciation Week! Once members are signed in on the ASCA website they can use the code: #myswimcoachrocks to get 50% off.  Coaches who are not current members can use the code: #myswimcoachrocks_2022.

LET’S CELEBRATE COACHES!

Here are some tips for swimmers and teams to use to show appreciation:

  • Write a personalized note, card, letter, or poster.
  • Each day of the week, tell your coaches something you appreciate about them.
  • Have your team do a cheer for your coach.
  • Being positive–having an upbeat, excited attitude at practice can make any day better for your coach.
  • Get your coach some personalized gear– a t-shirt or a mug with a quote or their nickname!
