The Arizona State swimming and diving teams swept UNLV on Friday, Oct. 2. The ASU men won 245-55 and the women won 231-68.
In the women’s meet, ASU started with Miriam Sheehan, Lucie Vasquez, Julia Ullmann and Albane Cachot winning the 200 medley relay in 1:36.22.
Sheehan won the 100 back in 51.89 for ASU. Vasquez won the 100 breaststroke (1:00.23) and 200 breast (2:11.99). Cachot won the 50 free in 22.03 and 100 free (47.23). Ullmann won the 100 fly (52.43) just ahead of Sheehan (52.47).
Alexa Reyna won the 1000 free in 10:00.05 and 500 free (4:49.15). Alysa Albertyn won the 200 free in 1:45.92 and 200 back in 1:55.20. Lauren Palacios won the 200 fly (1:58.10). Jordan Greber won the 200 IM (1:58.63).
Saeren Brett won 1-meter diving for ASU with a score of 245.85, ahead of UNLV’s Allyse Abbott (239.55). Brett won 3-meter (247.73) ahead of UNLV’s Wylde Chupich (235.35).
Albertyn, Ellie Chalupsky, Sheehan and Cachot won the 400 free relay in 3:13.65.
In the men’s meet, ASU won the 200 medley relay with Nick Simons, Oliver Munn, Ilya Kharun and Tolu Young getting to the wall in 1:21.73.
Kharun won the 200 fly in 1:40.29 and 100 fly (44.10). Simons won the 100 back in 45.81. Munn won the 100 breast in 51.86 and 200 breast (1:53.67). Young won the 50 free (18.76).
Noah Mudadu won the 1000 free in 8:48.87 and 500 (4:16.02). London Rising won the 200 free in 1:33.95. Quin Seider won the 100 free (41.61). Nathan Muratory won the 200 back (1:41.11). JT Ewing won the 200 IM (1:44.43).
Young, Jake Lloyd, Kristupas Trepocka and Kharun won the 400 free relay in 2:48.64.
ASU’s Mario Del Valle won 3-meter diving with 330.98 points, ahead of UNLV’s Alejandro Vazquez (296.33). Del Valle won 1-meter (326.25) ahead of Vazquez (393.38).
