An Epic Roll: The 13 Individual World Records of Gretchen Walsh Since June 2024
When Gretchen Walsh went 54.60 in the 100-meter butterfly at last weekend’s TYR Pro Series in Fort Lauderdale, it marked her 13th individual world record in less than a year. Since last June’s United States Olympic Trials, Walsh has been on an extraordinary roll, setting 10 world marks in the short-course pool and three in the long-course pool.
Of course, she’s also shredded the record book in short-course yards while powering the University of Virginia in the NCAA ranks.
