ACC Championships, Day 2 Prelims: Quintin McCarty Set 50 Free Meet Record
ACC Championships, Day 2 Prelims: 50 Free Depth on Display to Open
Officially, it’s the fourth day of the 2026 ACC Championships. But the meet’s swim schedule begins in earnest on Wednesday at Georgia Tech’s McAuley Center.
With diving done and the relays started, individual events finally get underway. The highlight of the morning promises to be a loaded 50 freestyle in which 24 men and 24 women are under the NCAA cut, one in which Quintin McCarty set a meet record in the men’s 50 free.
Thanks to a pair of platform diving titles, Stanford finds itself atop the standings through Tuesday night’s action, but that could be quick to change once the events start coming thick and fast.
