The Austin Grand Prix this weekend featured many of America’s top swimmers kicking off their Olympic seasons with some impressive performances; On the women’s side in Austin, Janet Evans and Allison Schmitt put up some of the most impressive performances; On the men’s side, Nathan Adrian swept the sprints, Anthony Ervin is on the comeback trail, and Michael Phelps is on the right track; Other dominant swims by Natalie Coughlin, Missy Franklin and Rebecca Soni; USC’s Vlad Morozov and Florida’s Marcin Cieslak had impressive swims at the SMU Classic in Dallas; Arthur Frayler posted a pair of meet records at the CeraVe Invitational that once belonged to Fran Crippen; Ian Thorpe competed at the Victoria Championships in Melbourne; Matt Targett ripped off an impressive 100 free; Melanie Schlanger and Alicia Coutts provided fireworks
