Video Interview Ten Years Later, Anthony Ervin Returns to Barcelona

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 30. CAL Aquatics' Anthony Ervin talks about preparing to return to the world championships after a remarkable 10-year hiatus. Incidentally, the last world championships he attended were also in Barcelona. Ervin made the World Championship team in the men's 400 freestyle relay and individually in the 50 freestyle.

Anthony Ervin, who led qualifying with a 21.93 this morning, blasted a time of 21.70 for the second spot on the US World Championship team. The swim pushed him to fourth in the world behind Adrian, Magnussen, Florent Manaudou (21.55) and Cesar Cielo (21.57), and could put Ervin in medal contention at Worlds. The 32-year-old also came within .10 of his personal record of 21.60 from last summer's Trials.
