Coming off a solid year at the World Championships, where he won silver in the 200 back and bronze in the 100 back, Ryan Murphy assessed his progress in a video interview with Swimming World at last week’s Golden Goggles.

Murphy explained how he has big goals that he’s working towards for 2020, and he explained how the middle year between Olympics can be used to see what works in his training as he pursues “pretty big goals” for the Tokyo Olympics. Murphy also explained how life will change next month when he graduates from Cal.
