Swim Poll of the Week: Will Any School Break the Cal-Texas Dominance Next Year?

swim-poll-04-07-22

This is the Swim Poll of the Week for Thursday, March 31, 2022, sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know: Will Any School Break the Cal-Texas Dominance Next Year?

The 2022 Men’s Swimming and Diving Champions for 2022 were the University of California – Berkley Golden Bears. While the University of Texas Longhorns trailed by 51 points. This is a flip-flop from 2021, where the Longhorns beat out the Golden Bears.

We saw the same situation in 2019, as there were no 2020 championships, with Cal leading Texas. Looking back to 2018, Texas once again was the reigning champ beating out Cal Berkley.

We’ve seen these two trade places for at least the last five years. Will a new school garner enough titles to knock one of these two schools down to third place? Anything is possible and everyone has their favorites, but we’ll be waiting until next March to see what comes to fruition.
