Regan Smith Lowers 100 Backstroke National Age Group Mark Again

Fourteen year old Regan Smith finished second in the 100 backstroke at the 2016 US Open tonight. Her runner up time of 1:00.26 lowered the National Age Group record she set this morning. Smith, who represents Riptide Swim Team, clocked a 1:00.31 this morning.

That time broke Missy Franklin‘s 13-14 girls record of 1:00.50. Franklin set that mark at Junior Nationals in 2009.
