Dylan Becker Discusses Rebounds From 10K To Win Junior Open Water 5K Title (VIDEO INTERVIEW)

Dylan Becker of Sandpipers of Nevada won the 5K Junior National titles on Saturday at the 2019 US Open Water Nationals in Miami, Florida.

In his post-race interview Becker discusses how he recovered after the 10K a day earlier and how it helped to prepare him for the 5K race. Becker also discussed the strength his club team, the Sandpipers, have shown in open water in Miami. His teammates Erica Sullivan and Brennan Gravley both grabbed Worlds qualifying spots in the 5K and 25K.

The 16-year was actually back in the water the next day as well, competing with the senior level athletes in the 5K where he finished 35th. He was the highest finisher under 17-years-old in the senior field. You can see the full interview with Dylan Becker below:
