(RACE VIDEO) Caeleb Dressel Clips American Record With 41.07, Unloads 3rd Fastest 100 Free Ever

Caeleb Dressel unleashed his second American record of the 2016 Southeastern Conference Championships with a blistering time in the 100-yard freestyle.

Dressel threw down a smoking 41.07 to clip Nathan Adrian’s American record of 41.08 set at the 2009 NCAA Men’s Championships.

Dressel now stands third all time in the race’s history behind only Vlad Morozov (40.76) and Cesar Cielo (40.92).

Dressel’s previous best time in the event coming into today was a 41.90 from the 2015 Southeastern Conference Championships.  He lowered that personal best with a sizzling 41.71 during prelims before unloading in the finale.
