Andrius Sidlauskas Tops 50 Breast Field at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships

Lithuania’s Andrius Sidlauskas cracked 28 seconds to win the men’s 50-meter breast at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.

Sidlauskas moved closer to Peter John Stevens’ World Junior record of 27.74 from 2013 with a winning time of 27.99 tonight.

Italy’s Nicolo Martinenghi claimed silver overall in the sprint breast with a time of 28.03, while Croatia’s Nikola Obrovac took home the bronze with a time of 28.11.

China’s Shen Hao wound up fourth overall in 28.18, while Great Britain’s Charlie Attwood hit the wall fifth in 28.28.

USA’s Reece Whitley (28.33), Russia’s Anton Chupkov (28.41) and USA’s Michael Andrew (28.44) finished sixth through eighth to comprise the rest of the championship finale.
