4 Meet Records Fall in Final 4 Events of Korean Trials

In the final day of the 2016 Korean Olympic Trials, only four events were competed and all four meet records fell.

Park Tae-hwan, who has been the headliner for this meet, was not entered in either of today’s events. Despite leaving the meet with four individual victories, and two new world top ten rankings, Park will not be on the Korean roster for the Rio Olympic Games.

Namyuseon touched in 4:44.15 to win the women’s 400 IM, in new meet record time. For the men, Garden finished in 4:23.59, also a new meet record.

The team from the Korea Armed Forces Athletics Corps touched first in the men’s 400 medley relay. Their time of 3:41.85 was a new meet record as well.

In the women’s 400 medley relay, Asan City Hall topped the podium with a final time of 4:08.60, also a new meet record.
