The Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) will hold their 2015-2016 Swimming and Diving Championship meet at the University of Georgia February 17-20.  The meet will be held at the Gabrielsen Natatorium. The 11 teams in attendance on the Women’s side will be Florida Gulf Coast, Liberty, Georgia Southern, Campbell, UNV-Ashville, University of the Incarnate Word, Gardner-Webb, North Florida, Howard University, Virginia Military Institute, and North Carolina A&T State.

On the Men’s side, Gardner-Webb, UMBC, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Old Dominican, University of the Incarnate Word, Florida Atlantic, Howard University, and the Virginia Military Institute will be the 8 teams competing.

The tentative schedule can be found on the CCSA website. The meet will kick off with diving and the 200 Medley and 800 freestyle relays Wednesday evening starting at 6p.m.

On the women’s side, Florida Gulf Coast, will fight to reclaim its championship title. Runner-up of last year, and championship winner in 2014-2015, Liberty University will be a tough competitor. Florida Gulf Coast is currently seeded first in all of the relays.

Last year, on the men’s side, the University of Maryland, Baltimore Country was victorious. Second place went to University of the Incarnate Word. Gardner-Webb was in third. Old Dominican and Florida Atlantic University, both of which were added to the CCSA conference in the summer of 2015, looks to be tough competitors and will add some more racing into the mix for the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association conference. The new additions are seeded high in the relay events and to the fast racing that will occur in Georgia.
