NEW COMMIT: West Chester, Ohio native and rising senior Grace Glosson has declared her verbal intention to continue her academic and swimming career at the University of Buffalo as a member of the class of 2024.

Glosson, who owns the Winter Juniors standard in the 100 back, swims year-round with Mason Manta Rays and placed 14th in that event at the Southern Premier Invitational in March. Last summer, she earned a pair of best times at NCSAs and took sixth in the 100 back at the Canton City Schools Invite in December. Also competing for Lakota West High School, Glosson finished eighth in the 100 back and 14th in the 100 fly as a junior at the Ohio State Championships.

She told Swimming World:

”I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at the University of Buffalo!! I want to thank my family, coaches, and friends for the unconditional support they’ve given me through my journey up to this point. Go Bulls!”

Her best times include:

  • 50 back – 26.69
  • 100 back – 55.72
  • 200 back – 2:03.23
  • 100 fly – 55.40
  • 200 fly – 2:04.26

Glosson will add valuable backstroke depth when she arrives on campus in the fall of 2020 and will have one year of overlap with top returning backstroker Nicole Roitenberg. She would’ve scored in the B-final of the 100 fly and 100 back at the 2019 MAC Championships where Buffalo finished third overall in the team standings.
