It was a close race between two Kentucky Wildcats, but Ali Galyer ran away with the women’s 200 backstroke title at the 2017 AT&T Winter National Championships. The sophomore finished in a time of 1:51.15, less than one second ahead of teammate Bridgette Alexander.

Galyer praises her teammates at Kentucky and the training atmosphere during practice. She also discusses her leadership role on the team and how she redeemed herself at Nationals after the Ohio State Invitational.
