TYR Sport is proud to announce the re-signing of Olympic Gold medalist and 20x World Championship medalist Kelsi Dahlia to its roster of sponsored athletes.

No stranger to the podium, Kelsi Dahlia has taken the sport of swimming by storm. After a stellar collegiate career as a Louisville cardinal, the American and NCAA record holder earned a ticket to her first Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Bringing home gold for her swim in the 4x100m medley relay, Dahlia went on to show the world she was only just getting started.

Picking up first place finishes in both the 50m and 100m butterfly events at world trials, Kelsi earned her place on Team USA for the 2017 FINA Long Course World Championships. In Budapest, she helped to set a new American record in the 4×100m freestyle relay as well as a new world record in the 4×100 medley. In addition she also brought home gold for her participation in the 400m mixed medley relay and bronze for her individual swim in the women’s 100m butterfly. Rounding out the year at the 2017 Winter National Championships, Kelsi broke the meet record for her swim in the women’s 100m butterfly and took home another first place in the women’s 200m fly.

In 2018 Dahlia won three individual medals and six relay podium finishes (all gold) at the 2018 FINA Short Course World Championships in Hangzhou, China. Proving to the world she is the fly girl to beat, Kelsi scored first in the 100m butterfly, silver in the 200m and bronze in the 50m. Her swim in the 200m butterfly also earned her a new American record. With nine total metals, Dahlia was the meet’s most decorated athlete.

Recently Dahlia took to Knoxville, TN, to compete at the 2019 TYR Pro Swim Series, where she picked up a major win in the women’s 100m butterfly, as well as a third place finish in the women’s 50m in the same stroke. Competing for the first time in the all new TYR Venzo, Kelsi played a significant role in helping TYR designers to engineer what has proven to be the industry’s most highly anticipated technical suit.

“Kelsi is a force in the pool,” said TYR Sport Chief Executive Officer Matt DiLorenzo. “She’s had a great career so far, and we are confident she’s going to do huge things in 2020.”

The people at TYR have become family to me, and I’m so thankful to have them supporting my goals as I train for 2020!”
