Texas Christian Scores Verbal Commitments from Jordan Edwards, Rylee Moore

NEW COMMITS: Texas Christian University has received another set of verbal commitments for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Cumming, Ga. native Jordan Edwards and Rylee Moore of Baton Rouge, La.

Both talented swimmers will join Jeanne Dahmen and Olivia Rhodes as members of the Horned Frogs’ Class of 2025.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Texas Christian University!!! I am so thankful for all of my teammates and coaches who helped me through the process and I know that this was the right decision for me. Thank you to the TCU coaches and team for helping me feel at home and so welcome. TCU is an amazing school and I can’t wait to make memories there! I am so excited for this opportunity and #GoFrogs!!!”

Edwards trains year-round with Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club and was the runner-up in the 400 IM at Georgia Seniors in December where she also placed fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 200 fly. Last summer, she finished fifth in the 200m fly and sixth in the 400m IM at Georgia LCM Seniors.

Her best times include:

  • 400 IM – 4:24.02
  • 200 IM – 2:06.52
  • 200 fly – 2:04.39
  • 200 breast – 2:23.02
  • 100 breast – 1:05.80
  • 1000 free – 10:25.52
  • 500 free – 5:05.09
  • 200 free – 1:53.81
  • 100 free – 54.27

Also competing for South Forsyth High School, Edwards is a six-time Georgia 7A State Championship finalist. She finished sixth in the 100 fly and seventh in the 100 breast during her junior campaign while taking fifth in both of those events as a sophomore. 

RYLEE MOORE

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at TCU! I cannot wait to be apart of such an awesome program and team! Super thankful for my parents, family, coaches, friends, and teachers for all the help through the years!! ?Go frogs!!??”

Moore does her club swimming with Crawfish Aquatics and won the 100 back, placed second in the 200 fly, and took third in both the 100 fly and 200 IM at Louisiana Seniors in February. She raced five events at Juniors West in December and swam away with four gold medals at Louisiana LCM Seniors last summer.

Her best times include:

  • 100 back – 54.41
  • 200 back – 1:59.11
  • 100 fly – 55.87
  • 200 fly – 2:03.85
  • 200 IM – 2:05.05

A current senior at Parkview Baptist High School, Moore is already a six-time Louisiana DIII State Championship gold medallist. The NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won the 100 back and 200 IM as a junior while earning gold in the 100 fly and 100 back during both her freshman and sophomore seasons.
